Larry Tesler Was Also Apple’s Chief Scientist. Larry Tesler, the computer scientist, who is famous for inventing the computer concepts cut, copy and paste, has sadly passed away at age 74 BBC News reports . Larry was born in New York in the year 1945 and he studied computer science at Stanford University. After his graduation, he worked in the university’s computer science and genetics departments before he became a research assistant with the Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.  In the year of 1973, Tesler commenced working at Xerox’s Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) and it is here that he developed cut, copy and paste.
